haven’t posted for almost a month now but not to say I haven’t been fishing. I have! It’s just I haven’t caught anything worth posting up 😂🤣
Today posting up to let my followers know after a lot of thought and planning I had decided to get rid of the tinnie and moved onto a jetski. I wanted to go back out into the bay chasing mackerel but tend to fish solo nowadays so decided a jetski would be a better option.
Yes yes I know some of you might say I’ve moved over to the dark side. Trust me this ski will be primarily used for fishing. Have been out on it on 3 occasions including today. 1st session out mackerel hunting Moreton bay, 2nd session roaming the broadwater and today ventured out to the 24s off Southport. No real fish to claim a win just as yet. The pelagics have died down due to the cold weather but watch this space! I WILL nail it! I will be out there on my Hobie Pro Angler for inshore and jetski for offshore fishing!

As for today I arrived at Labrador at 5:30am. Heading out with a zillion other boats and jet-skis to Palm Reef. Only managed a few live yakkas for bait but after tempting the predators below with them for 1/2 day I threw in the towel. There were no fish in sight on the Lowrance fish finder except for one very small tuna bust up and PLUS I was green with sea sickness!!! 🤢🤮 Gave the fish a few burleighs and decided I’d had enough….😂🤣 back on the kayak I go for the next write up 🙂
