Geist Reservoir earned the reputation as the second-largest man-made lake in Indiana. The reservoir can hold up to 60000acre-feet of water and gets its water from the damming of Fall Creek. The reservoir is located near Indianapolis which is just a three-hour flight from Cincinnati. All the leading hotels are located in Indianapolis and around the Reservoir area. Ample public transportation is available from Indianapolis Town to the reservoir. The reservoir has numerous coves and points that hold fish. Anglers can catch fishes weighing from 3 to 7 Ib. The walleyes move to shallow areas here for eating fishes during the dark hours. Hence, Anglers get the best around 1.30 to 3.30 a.m. in the morning. Bass love warm water. This makes the catch from 2.00 to 4.00 p.m. in the evening hefty.
